By using a Virtual Private Network (VPN), you can hide your IP address from websites and other internet services you visit. When using a VPN, you will appear to be coming from a different IP address, one that is shared with many different people at the same time. This will make it much more difficult for services to identify you from your IP address alone.
Another option is to use the Tor Browser Bundle (or Orbot and Orweb on Android mobile phones). These tools will anonymise your IP address when you browse the web.
